A night of comedy

A night of comedy

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I enjoy a good laugh,
  and last evening helped.

Three jesters,
 each with their own style,
laughing at what they have seen.

At times,
there is a chance to be offended,
    but you did want comedy.

Final performer,
known by more than a few,
   impressed me.

Yes,
  he had been amusing,
but after his time had run out,
       he started asking questions.

I realize this is part of the act,
but you could see the people running the place growing impatient.

This is in a small backwoods casino.
Back on the reservation.

He started in these kinds of places.

He was having fun.

Talking with the crowd,
he got a chance to laugh.

Special when you get to join the feeling.

I like people watching. Sometimes it's better than the show itself.

Back in your shell turtle...
Sometimes it is interesting to sit on the sidelines and watch, and have a little laugh. Now, speaking of which, I am pretty sure you meant impatient, not inpatient.:)

Now, I a wondering if it should have been "Happy now?".
when we relate, all is good...when we don't and are questioned, we get uncomfortable...

sometimes i think we just want to observe life, not join in.
