Duality

Duality

A Poem by Jon Roggie

This is hard to explain,
  but it feels so simple.

What words can explain?

Enough build up,
and ignore my attempt at philosophy.

Not even a laugh.

I know everything will go wrong.

I know we can take something away from it.

The only thing stopping us is ourselves.

Just a pessimistic optimist.

Oh my gosh. And here I thought I was the only one. I can't help but be an optimist and wrap it in a healthy cloak of pessimism, just in case.

I know things will go wrong, but it won't stop me from trying.
That last line is money. :)
I often feel that way even though it is a contradiction.

I have also been told I was the meanest nicest person.

Lol. Sometimes you can be mean with good intentions. :)
