Embers burning low

Embers burning low

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Fall away to slumber.
The fire is growing dim.

Times for stories have passed,
and I guess my time has also.

Like the tales,
  it never ends.

Now,
  moving on,
    never sleeping.

Each story is a new dawn.

This has a feeling of acceptance, that time is passing and the speaker will inevitably be gone.
