Another step

Another step

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Looking at humanities' brutalities.
  Trust me.
Not something to be taken lightly.

Coat of cynicism?
Probably put on the double coat.

Still,
  shrug it off,
and look at everything around you.

There are always going to be down points.

You grieve.

Next,
you see a child enjoying life.

The story continues.

Well, this is life. We face hurdles, stumble upon them and then we again get up to chase something new.

Part of life. Thank you.
This is so true. Life is full of the bad -- but there are points of light to guide us through.

I don't know if my style carries the message of this one.

You feel I took away an incorrect message?

No, I feel I tried to put too much into so few words.
yes, i guess it starts to get really hot with extra coats of cynicism...and that child might just show hope for the future...unless we have caused his weather to be inclement...with what we have done.

More of a reason to try and create hope.
