What rules?

What rules?

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

This is your fault KL.

"
One of our fellow poets brought this up,
and I can't help but comment.

I think there was supposed to be another comma in there.

Anyway,
some are stuck within rigid formats,
and are aghast if someone strays beyond those lines.

Now,
if they are able to pass along their message in such a fashion,
    more power to them.

Some of us might be a little different.

When I fall into an accepted pattern,
  trust me,
    it was an accident.

This might as well be my catch phrase.

I just write.

How the words work,
  it is without a template.

They are just a reflection of how I feel at the moment.

Isn't that poetry?

yes, what you feel and not matter how you format it...that is poetry, that is poetic license.

i don't abide by rules of punctuation or capitalization...but the folks here seem to forgive me that
slip of semantics...and read for the feeling....
thank you for this poem , Jon.

If they were strict, I probably would have been kicked out a long time ago.
Thank you, Jacob.
