It would be ignored

It would be ignored

A Poem by Jon Roggie

If I were to write my own grand manifesto,
  no one would notice.

The simplicity would never draw attention.

Four words spoken with honesty.

Doesn't grab the attention of the masses.

Sure,
I could pad it with a few extra sentences,
   but why?

When you are dealing with simple facts,
you shouldn't have to go into overlong explanations.

Either you understand,
or you ignore the world around you.

It is so easy.

Help all of them.

I have to agree that simplicity is under rated.
It's like we're trying to hard to impress sometimes.
Not you, not I but just in general...
Like bubble gum that won't hold its flavour.

It is my experience that many interesting and intelligent, kind people are ignored and underestimated. We go for the glitz, the glam, the wow ... none of that takes away from the message of this piece.

The above lines. Honest and true statements. Thank you Jon for the excellent poetry.
