Motives

Motives

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I still say I ramble.
I talk about my dog.
She adopted me.
I have to pick her up when she chooses to sleep in my bed.
What does this do with the first sentence?
It adds background.
Now,
you know a little slice of my life.
It may be a ramble,
but the words show a part of yourself.
What you show can be calculated.
Yes,
a bit of the cold is showing through.
Innocent daydreams may have purpose.
In the end,
all goes back to the motive.

Life lead us to the place we need to be. Things do fall into place. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Good writing is free-throw. Release the thoughts to paper and we hope for a good ending.
and the motive is love...between a pet and a human...it is unconditional, at least on the animal's part...even if humans aren't good at being unconditional...

we should love other humans as we do pets...but then, some really abuse animals as well.

Sad thing to see. Pets and humans are most often injured by simple neglect. Best I hop off of my s.. read more
I don't suppose I have much of a motive. Sharing what comes to me and seeing what it attracts. Motives always back-fire:)
