Energy slipping away

Energy slipping away

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Nothing new.
  I recognize the symptoms.

Temper starting to get short,
   well shorter than usual.

I can still manage a smile.

It is the desperate search of seclusion.
  This is a warning sign.

I need to recharge the batteries.

Revel in positive emotions.

Regain some energy.

For me it's being tired and/or hungry. I turn into a monster.
