Playing the watchman

Playing the watchman

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Not to be overly curious,
but I do want to know you got home.

By your point in life,
I was managing to get home late.

Just an uncle,
  but I do care.

So I keep the door open,
and wait for you to turn on the light.
