Life of an introvert

Life of an introvert

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I can talk to you,
 but I must admit,
   it is tiring.

Sounds a bit egotistical.

Let me put it this way,
  our conversations start to hurt.

I need to get away.

Constant exposure brings forth....

Taking a breath.

To know silence is a beautiful thing,
   walking in the woods,
     and feeling only....

Shake my head,
and try to build the shield.

Another day.

It can be exhausting. Close friends notice when you start to go quiet.
