Riding the tidal wave

The wave can overwhelm you.

Smash you down in an angry burst,

and drown you in the cold waters of sorrow.

Choose your wave.

Dive under the crest,

and surface back into the sunlight.

Wait for the next wave,

knowing one is waiting for a hell of a ride.
