A Poem by Jon Roggie

This might offend some in the profession,
but learning comes down to sharing.

If I am expected to memorize,
  might as well stay home.

I will give an example.

Calculus.

Professor going through the motions,
  and don't get me wrong,
    this takes some concentration.

Asks what the answer is.

I tell him.

He asks why?

I say it was obvious.

Threw him for a loop.

What was the trick?

Learning the lesson.

All of it was leading to something.

Now, if you just pay attention,
maybe take that kind of a jump?
