Spinning a coin

Spinning a coin

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Sometimes you want it to stop.
Still,
  a bit of predetermined dedication,
    and now stuck.
Stop when it stops.
Spin the coin,
  and when it stops...
You get the point.
Sometimes the random choice,
it seems to last the longest.
Guess I will carry on,
and blow on the coin to keep it spinning.

This is so true -- overthinking things sometimes makes a wrong choice -- sometimes picking randomly works best. And with that, I think you may have sparked a poem in me ... whew, must be slowing down -- took me 19 minutes -- I hope you like it.:)

As the song says, "You have to be cruel to be kind, in the right measure...".
maybe stalling a decision is best...especially when either choice is not so good.

keep it spinning...
