Forgotten letter

Forgotten,

 but not forgot.

We were kids,

  so sometimes it just gets put aside.

The emotions are still there,

  at least if they were true.

A slip of tongue is all it takes.

Ah, I love coming across something from a love that did not end bitterly, but rather more to age or circumstance.
