Why do you write

Why do you write

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I should keep track of which version of this I am starting.
It still comes back to a simple question.

Why?
I understand the one simple shout,
  and the short continuations.
Now,
  if you still keep writing,
    what drives you?
Each of us has a different story,
and obviously we decided to share.
I don't only look at the words.
I want to know why.

You dodged the question, my friend.
the words tumble around in different configurations --
writing them in order is like shuffling the deck and keeping things neat and tidy
if I don't do that, they take up too much brain space to handle the day to day.
