One more

One more

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Started at a candy store,
  and,
      yes,
          sounds a bit odd.

Still,
it was a moment of mortality.

You always want one more taste.

Then,
   what else have you missed?

True love?
   Thirty years,
and the memories are still fresh.

Back to the present.

What else do I want to taste?
