What I was told

What I was told

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Really?
How could I count on that?

Who knows what I would believe?

Constantly hearing new information,
while trying to relearn the current situation.

Now,
why should I bother with such nonsense?

Historical moments changed with each interpretation,
leaves you wondering about the past,
when the focus should be on the present.

Before you focus on the grammatical errors of the previous statement,
why not look at the world around us,
and maybe come to a conclusion.

Forget what we were told.
