What am I doing?

What am I doing?

A Chapter by Jon Roggie

Give me a little help.
   Just a few pointers,
      and help me understand.

Creating this hollow shell seems to be required,
if only as a momentary distraction.

The threads of truth hidden within a gaudy fabric.

When does a smile show my face instead of a mask?
