Where does the story start?

Where does the story start?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

First,
 I have to ask,
  "How are you doing?"

I know,
  bit overused.

Still,
  it works.

Get to know your audience,
and maybe learn where to start.

How else can you tell a story?

Excuse me,
I may seem to be ramble,
but there is always something about a story.

You listen to the words,
and if it is a good one,
it takes you for a ride.

Yeah,
   got sidetracked.

Lost my train of thought.

So,
  how you doing?

sometimes we just can't get past that first line...maybe we don't have confidence that the story is good enough ....or maybe we are so affected by that other person...we just stumble, looking for the words...or trying to remember the ones we thought we had memorized.

There is something about telling a story. You know when it is right. Thanks, my friend.
