Walk with me

Walk with me

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Why not?
Let us see where our feet will lead.

Eyes without blinders,
able to see the world around.

Hearing the songs,
each made different by the singer.

Catching a scent...
   Tasting it in the air.

All melding into a thought.

Shall we walk?

You reminded me so much of the good times I have had. Its just beautiful. The times when one watched the world walking beside their father...to when the walk extends with ones soulmate. All of it rolled in a few lines. Its magic at many levels. Thank you for this piece of art.

Thank you. I try to keep it simple. Why decorate a message?

Because beauty has to be expressed deeply. Atleast I feel so.
"Shall we walk?" Yes, we shall walk and explore the world. Let us see where life takes us and where we end up. Let us understand what each person before us left behind. This is a wonderful poem. I love how you write. Many interprets your poems in different ways, and I like seeing what others think. I apologizing for not reviewing often, I just reopened my account today and I am so glad to be back. I have missed you my friend. Happy holiday, and happy writing! Thank you for sharing! Excellent job :)

Welcome back. Happy holidays, and always remember, just write!
i remember many times at the start of a relationship, how it was like this...holding hands, walking into anywhere, starting a journey...no hesitation...just walking without a care in the world...together...

but somewhere along the trail...things start happening and it becomes hard to move the feet.

wonder why that is, so often.
