Please be quiet

Please be quiet

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I can always tell.
  The sound starts to rise.

The weight of decisions becomes obvious.
Each moment adds just a bit more.

As much as I would like,
  force myself to listen.

Instead of gliding silently,
I hear the sound of my footsteps.
