Just another cover band

Why should I strive for better?
  At least these songs are known.

They seem to catch your attention.
   I don't know, might be the repetition.

So,
  I will sing the songs that used to be new,
    just to keep your attention.

Not saying I won't slip in a tune or two.

interesting...reminds me of poets who live on using various lines from different poems and songs that they have heard...even if it is only from the subconscious...and not done intentionally...

cover poems because they give to the readers what's comfortable...like watching an old favorite movie many times because it is like an old friend.
