This is what I was told

This is what I was told

A Poem by Jon Roggie

What was that?
  Sorry.
     Must have drifted.

It all comes back to the words.
We don't know who said them first,
      but somehow they linger.

Some say,
    maybe.

Now,
I don't know who said them,
     but I like the sound.

Sorry?
  What was that?

Just an old story,
and I don't know where it started.

Just a saying,
this is what I was told.

There are always two sides to one story my friend, don't believe every thing you hear.
