Feel the song

Feel the song

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I know,
  it seems quiet.

Hear the clock?
  Just a steady ticking,
but can you hear the rest?

Birds chirping,
  and those annoying lawn mowers.

Listen closely.
   Shut everything out,
      and still there is something.

A steady beat,
one you have to be close to hear.

this reminds me of Eddie Wilson in Eddie and the Cruisers talking about being out in the desert...and saying that it was totally quiet, yet he could hear it...the music...

more in his head...but he said "if you know what to listen for, you will hear it."

i like this piece quite a bit.
