Why should you listen to me?

Why should you listen to me?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Let us be honest.

Do you really want to hear another piece of advice?
Have someone try to mold your thoughts?

I hope not.

You are here to write.

Those are the only words I want you to hear.

   Fine.
      Maybe some tips on grammar.
         but this is flipping poetry!

Haha
To me, this poem is telling us to be ourselves! We are all here to write! We write about thoughts, ideas, imaginary places in our heads, etc. We write lots of poetry because there are no rules! There is no need to judge or correct! Just be yourself, and that is key :)
