A simple conceit

A simple conceit

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Conceit may not be quite the word.
Maybe more of a wistful hope.

After a long day,
no matter which hours it may be,
how many find a feeling of relaxation,
merely by putting together a few words?

Understand,
it is not just the words.

Sharing a story,
   or a glimpse of emotion.

However,
I admit I can be conceited.

After each creation,
  "That's good!"

it's a release, I have taken up writing them and then sailing them to the trash can again, it's cleansing and un-bottles me like a genie and no one is subject to my whine and cheese.
