Deathroll

Deathroll

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You have seen my teeth,
and I seem to just sit there,
basking in the warm rays of the sun.

Forget the veneer of civility,
  and see the primal nature.

Honesty tends to be brutal,
  and shouldn't be a surprise.
Even when it drags you beneath the surface.
