Another year

Another year

A Poem by Jon Roggie

That time again.

My shell has a few more scars,
and the look in my eyes has grown deeper.

The added memories of joy,
  and sadness,
      how can it be ignored.

Notice,
the last was not a question.

As time passes,
  you should learn.

Observe everything around you,
and notice the oddly connecting moments.

Don't mind me.
  Just a senile old tortoise,
    watching from my shell.
