Who are you?

Who are you?

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Ongoing writes. Some know what I am talking about.

The worst part is the confusion.

Last night,
  a touch of recognition.

Even a few hours ago,
  and now gone.

So,
  each time I introduce myself.

Joke a bit,
  hiding the knowledge.
You don't know who I am,
and you feel something is wrong.

We talk,
  and you tell me stories,
most told to me so many times before.

this really affects me...my dad is looping so badly...he is 95...keeps asking when my mom died (september) and who was there for the burial....asks if i was there to my sister...
i put the ashes in the ground...it is hard to see him getting so forgetful...he was the sharpest man i knew...
