As they fall

As they fall

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Escaped the watching eyes,
and I have been given the chance to wander.

The petals fall around me,
  chilling me with their touch.

Walking through a field of white,
I find a spot to rest.

Breath steams,
as the petals melt on my upturned face.
