How do you handle a six foot iguana?

How do you handle a six foot iguana?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Time to dabble in metaphors.
I think so they are called.

Iguanas are like children.
You pull them to your chest,
     and you mind the claws.

With the iguana,
a thick sweater will protect you from the scars.

A child will leave a touch,
  maybe a scar,
   or a memory.
       No protection.

Weak as metaphors go,
but unless you have handled both,
     I doubt you may understand.

those iguanas are amazing, so are children...in Trinidad I got very close to an iguana that was about this long...we had a long staring match...much like how a child will play those psychological games with a parent...and often win.

I took care of one for a friend. She was quite content when I held her.
