Drained

Drained

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Trying times,
   and no place to rest.

Questions surround,
   coming faster than answers.

If only from one,
  but there are so  many.

Each so demanding.

Every answer takes more away,
  leaving only an empty husk.

this reminds me of the Michael Brown disaster...no one is right if everyone is wrong....a young man is gunned down by a cop...riots occur when the cop is not charged...and then they burn their own town down....and even though the boy was unarmed...they are now trying to make him a saint...

but is he? he had just robbed a store...so not an innocent victim....who is right?

nobody wins in this situation....
and what we have left is just an empty husk, and more questions.

sorry, this probably had nothing to do with Ferguson, it just reminded me of what is going on there.too many questions, too much violence...and no good answers...
