Almost time to fry a bird

Almost time to fry a bird

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

More than gluttony to Thanksgiving.

"
Can't be very healthy.

Depends how much you eat.

A thirteen pound turkey is not meant for one,
and more the reason to share.

Time of cooking brought down to an hour,
    allowing more time to visit,
and isn't this the reason to gather?

So maybe more than one,
if only to attract more of you,
     creating a larger gathering.

I always thought frying a turkey sounded strange...until I tried it..

Happy Thanksgiving!

One day out of the year, you fry everything. Even fried beer.
a nice occasional poem, marking an occasion, today a woman in the market upon questioning advised making a Chicken Parmesan; I will buy a turkey after Thanksgiving if there are any left after the holiday because there will be no one here for it on that day and I don't know where I will be probably not here to find a relative to visit if I have one though I don't have many, some people go to see friends I know that too

More the reason to try, and take it back! Of course, if you take history into account....
