A stop in the road

A stop in the road

A Poem by Jon Roggie

This will be a long journey,
  and many companions will pass,
    but not to be forgotten.

Now,
  and again,
you have to stop for awhile,
       and give back.

No clue how long,
but also no reason to rush it.

Just a stop in the road,
  until you travel along.

I like this. As much as I try not to 'live in the past' I need to remind myself to appreciate what made me who I am. Really enjoyed the read :)

Thank you! No reason to dwell in the past, but like you said, appreciate what made you.
Hey there, nice thoughts. Suggestion -- not sure about the repetition of while so close together. Once in a bit? or some such thing?
