Each time you ask

Each time you ask

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Hard for me not to see.
  You are tired,
     and feel abandoned.

You could understand If I left,
since others don't even bother to stop by.

So each time you ask,
  steels the resolve to stay.

For me, this is about an older loved one who feels abandoned. When I used to visit my grandfather in the nursing home, sometimes only our family's names would be on the roster for days at a time. We all visited. The other residents got to know all of us. So sad.

Very close. I think the feeling of this one touches many of our experiences. For me, day to day.
