A mother and a niece

A mother and a niece

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The differences,
    and the similarities,
      each will be obvious.

One nearing the twilight,
another basking in the spring's dawn.

They both have their questions,
  so close to the other,
    yet they don't realize.

Sixty years between,
and they don't see how close they are.

Each asking questions,
  different topics,
but with the same hopeful look.

Both the same.
