Bringing it up againA Poem by Jon RoggieOngoing write about living with someone suffering from Alzheimer's.
The rest of us remember,
as you stumble. The present quickly forgotten. We can only watch, while taking precautions, never knowing what will be next. Locking doors, and keeping ears open. Day to day attempts ever changing. Suspicions come at odd moments, as do the smiles, and knowing what comes gets heavier. We talk to try and lift some of the pressure, and we can't help but bring it up again. © 2014 Jon Roggie |
