A quiet voice

A quiet voice

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Nudged by someone,
maybe it would be spoken word,
if I read the words aloud.

Yes,
I did not take it well.

There is a reason I choose the genre.

I write as if you were in front of me.
  If only for a moment,
I try to let you into my head.

I could use the gimmicks,
just to try and gain attention.

I would rather share a conversation.

No reason to raise my voice,
  simply talk.

Each  a moment spent,
  eye to eye,
     speaking in a quiet voice.

just a nice quiet conversation...sometimes that is all it takes...the soft communication...

the unobtrusive voice...the gentle hand, the wise smile.

You manage it better than me, my friend.
