A Poem by Jon Roggie

Come closer,
  the fire is warm.

Let the cold leave your bones,
and feel the comfort of those around.

All of us are on different roads,
but no reason to shy away from each other.

Take a moment,
and let the light drive off your fears.

Warmth drives away the chill of the night,
taking with it your dread of what is waiting.

The pot is full,
  warding off hunger.
Add what you can,
   helping others following behind you.

For a short bit of time,
  join me,
      and rest,
  heal by the fire's life.
