Judged for wrinkled clothing

Judged for wrinkled clothing

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Early morning,
standing while others prepare to start their day.

Sipping some coffee,
ignoring the occasional sniff from someone walking by.

Conclusions made,
simply from the state of clothing.

Where were they?
   Did they stand vigil?

Watching the clock,
wondering if you would see her again?

Go ahead,
  walk by,
and enjoy a feeling of superiority,
while judging another for their wrinkled clothing.

people make so many judgments based on outer appearance...a few wrinkles to me means "real"--

we can all put on airs with that perfect "every hair in place" "perfect tie"
"perfect crease" kind of life...but real is natural and comfortable.

Let a bit of anger sneak in. Thank you for reading, Jacob.
