Dropping the restraints

Dropping the restraints

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Only for a moment,
   doors are locked,
     and I am alone.

Emotions can fly,
   hope can be expressed,
and no damage will be done.

Music plays,
   words flow,
     and I feel free.

Dreams are released,
  finally given flight,
and for a time I reveal what my eyes see.

Thanks for sharing this good mood with us, it's contagious and important. I try to feel free yet 'expensive' as much as I can, sometimes by running around the track or taking my child to the park or holding yoga poses. It's nice to get away from it all sometimes

My pleasure. Once in awhile, I just have to take a break! Helps dealing with others.
That's a sweet feeling, just letting go for a moment.
