Sometimes there is a message

Sometimes there is a message

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Even in a trivial work,
one which now would not be p.c.,
    there is a glimmer.

Series of books,
  remembered from my youth,
and I find moments during my current readings.

The main character sits trying to understand a rock garden.
   He can see something,
     but can't grasp it.

Another enters the scene,
  and after polite introductions,
     explains the artist's intentions.

One which grabbed my attention was a stone off alone.

Represented humanity.

For some reason,
  I understand.

If only I could explain.

i understand those rocks that sit aside...i was always "out there" i think...

but explaining that rock---too hard to do that. i just accept that it is as different as i am.

I agree. Sometimes you can't explain, but you can open an idea for others to explore.
