Another "How we write" ramble

Another "How we write" ramble

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I know,
I tend to dwell on this.

Probably shouldn't be listed as a poem,
but I can accept the spoken word part.

Anyway,
do you notice how some of your writes flow?

Look them over after,
  and you wonder?

How did I do that?

I notice I can only push so far,
or it just doesn't feel right.

I also notice the best ones are when the words flow,
  without any premeditation.

With a sideways wink to the late Frank Herbert,
   "The words must flow."

everything i write i feel that way...where did that come from? whether it flows or not...but especially if it flows...

when often i feel as stopped up as a Dune...too high and dry for the words to get over.

I knew you would catch the reference. Just a bunch of Fremen poets.
