Where were you?

Where were you?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I have to ask.

Where were you?

This is not a random happening,
and only now do people start to talk.

Again,
  where were you?

Ever sheltered a friend,
while the bruises are still forming?

One moment,
  and I have to stop.

Not just the current cause,
and I hope you will remember,
   because I just wonder.....
