The hawk, the prey, and the observer.

The hawk, the prey, and the observer.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Each feels alone,
   always in a different way.

The observer disconnected,
  trying to understand,
looking at the world around them.

The hawk aloof,
   gliding through the winds,
    waiting for the moment.

A simple field mouse,
seeing the shadow of the hawk,
daunted by the presence of the observer.

Feeling peace when both shadows pass on by.
