I didn't leave you

I didn't leave you

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Quick write for the Nightmares contest.

"
I only said goodbye.

Maybe I was brusque,
  I was in a hurry.

I didn't know.

I didn't know what was waiting for you.

Why did you do that?

Now,
  I can't sleep,
    knowing you are waiting.

When I close my eyes,
  I see you,
    and you smile,
      giving me a cold wink.

Now, I could go all Poe!
