They need their own Mystery Machine

They need their own Mystery Machine

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Due credit to the writers of Scooby Doo.

"
Don't tell me you haven't heard of Scooby and the Gang.

Anyway,
having observed the diligent efforts of a few,
I can't help but remember those shows.

A nefarious villain,
   hiding behind a mask,
    stealing from others,
       waiting to be caught.

Apparently,
we had one of our own,
      now unveiled,
and if only we could hear him say,

"I would have got away with it,
if it wasn't for those meddling kids!"

Scooby Doo, where are you? Always loved that mystery machine, Shaggy, and Velma. Cute write, but I think it has a deeper meaning. Lydi**

I am a crazy fan of Scooby doo. In the title when I saw mystery machine I was wishing I find something on scooby here. You made me remember my childhood days how we felt that there are no ghosts but the people hiding behind the masks and we realised every thief gets caught. 😀I miss those days. Thank you so much for sharing.

I giggled despite the serious topic...and I really like how you approach the saga of WC's plagiarist. Satire can be a welcome break to all the anger. That doesn't mean that we aren't ticked off about this pathetic so called "writer", just means we can still breathe amidst the emotional upheaval. Glad Einstein Noodle sent me this read request...thanks for sharing.

Just seemed time to try and get a laugh. Too many angry faces. Thanks!
Nice, Really creative although the non accusatory feeling of the writing could be misconstrued for acceptance. I am not sure if that would be be the concensus amongst writers.I for once like to the portrayal of oneself for who you think you are and be accepted or not. But I think that would require to much from the part of the culprit.

Yesssshhhhh Shaggy.

Thankyou

I prefer the originals.
Oh, trust me, he is sitting in the corner of some dank café, head lowered over a cup of bitter, cheap coffee, half-smoked cigarette clutched between tobacco stained fingers, in spite of civic bylaws precluding smoking in public places, because he is an edgy rebel, after all, muttering ""I would have got away with it, if it wasn't for those meddling kids!"
