Waiting in the shadows

Waiting in the shadows

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You know I am here,
and know I don't mind your time in the sun.

My comforting shadows,
fold around you like a cool blanket,
    giving a bit of security,
       after the rest have scattered,
          vanishing with the light.
