Decadent Desserts

Decadent Desserts

A Poem by Jon Roggie

So many miss the opportunity,
  merely gorging on sweets.

Now a proper dessert,
it can take more preparation than the meal.

You don't have to overwhelm,
  merely give a taste.

A flake of bitter chocolate,
  followed with a candied pecan.

Flavors mixing,
  arousing an appetite.

Strawberries,
  with a touch of lime,
   simply adding to the taste.

Each one making you yearn for the next.
