Is it safe?

Is it safe?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Am I able to share some words?
They aren't going to be misdirected?

I only write a few at a time,
  but they are my children.

So,
before I send them on their way,
       are they safe?

Safety is never guaranteed. The only choice is you either live your life in fear of enduring danger or live a life that may not be as safe, but experience far more. We can only protect our children let alone ourselves so much because safety is a rare thing in this time of day. Though, we shouldn't limit ourselves, we should still live freely. However, I do like this poem and even though it was a short read, it did make me think myself. Thank you.

I still like this one. It has been awhile, so it was reading something new!
Maybe, maybe not. Life's one big crap shot

I always fall back on "I just write."

That works too.
